The Guyver Net
The Guyver Net was the precursor to Japan Legend. Pretty much all users from that site are now here.
The Guyver Net http://www.theguyver.net was a Guyver website created by User:Drag-5 back in December '04. After Drag had stepped down as admin of the site, he left the site to YoungGuyver who became acting admin. At some time in 2010, the website went down and has not been accessible since then.
It contained an extensive database, manga translations and had the most active Guyver forum on the net, The Guyver Board (often shortened to GB). The Guyver Board has now been shut down for the merging of The Guyver Net and Japan-Legend.
Brief History
When the site first started out, it was a personal site hosted on Geocities for Drag-5 to post his Guyver fanart, wallpapers and 3D renderings. But later, as he wanted the site to grow and become more public, he created a forum and so the community sprouted.
The site's activity exploded when the new Guyver: TV Series was airing in Japan and it carried on strongly like this through to February when the series ended. A few months after this, the Guyver Board calmed down, but was bombarded with numerous questions regarding the continuation of the TV Series and the possibilities of a Season 2. However, with the release of new Guyver figures, activity had grown.
After all the new figures were released, Imakarum was delayed, Yoshiki Takaya was taking a break from the manga and Drag stepping down as admin, activity slowed down. This continued for a few months, and during this time, Drag had created his new concept of Japan-Legend. Manga was continued, but the board was slowly dying. YoungGuyver and Drag made the deal to merge both sites in an attempt to boost activity and increase the size of the community.
